The highlight of my stay at Kurokawa-So was definitely the stunning outdoor baths. I spent hours soaking in the warm water while admiring the picturesque river and surrounding nature. The in-room kaiseki meals were also a delight, with each dish bursting with delicious flavors. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made my stay even more enjoyable. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this onsen ryokan.

The onsen's location was top-notch, nestled between green trees and overlooking the nearby river. Communication was a bit of a challenge for us. There were language barriers that made interaction with the staff difficult.

The private onsen was only available to use once, which was a disappointment and a unique restriction. the rooms and facilities were a bit outdated and could use some refurbishing.
